Inner City Church of Christ ("the church," "we," "us") is a congregation in Norfolk, Virginia. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, including our Kingdom Connect pages, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We collect only what we need to serve you and run the ministry.

• Contact details such as your name, email address, phone number and mailing address, when you fill out a form, sign up for updates, register for an event or contact us.

• Messages and requests you send, including questions, connection cards, volunteer sign-ups and prayer requests.

• Giving information when you make a donation (see Online giving and payments).

Information collected automatically

• Device and usage data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent and the site that referred you.

• Approximate location (city or region) based on your IP address.

• Cookie and ad data described in the next sections.

How we use information

We use your information to:

• Respond to your questions, connection cards and requests

• Send updates, devotionals and event news you asked for

• Process donations and send giving statements for tax purposes

• Organize events, small groups, outreach and volunteer service

• Pray for you and provide pastoral care when you ask

• Understand how people use the site so we can improve it

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We advertise through Google Ads. Google may use cookies to show our ads, measure whether an ad led to a visit or sign-up, and show our ads to people who have visited our site before (remarketing). Google's use of this data is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.

Online giving and payments

Online donations are handled by a third-party payment processor. Your card or bank details go directly to that processor and are never stored by the church.

We receive your name, contact details, gift amount, date and designated fund. We use this to record your gift, thank you and send annual giving statements. Giving records are seen only by the people who manage church finances.

Prayer requests and sensitive information

Prayer requests and pastoral messages often include personal matters such as health, family or faith. We treat them with care.

• Requests are shared only with the pastoral staff and prayer team who need them.

• We never post a request publicly or share your name without your permission.

• You can ask to submit a request anonymously or have it kept with the pastor only.

Please do not send highly sensitive details, such as financial account numbers or medical records, through website forms.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only:

• With service providers who help us run the site and ministry, such as Wix (website hosting and forms), Google (advertising and analytics), our payment processor and our email service. They may use it only to provide those services.

• Within the church, with staff and volunteer leaders who need it to serve you.

• When required by law, or to protect the safety of a person or the church.

• With your permission, in any other case.

Data retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected. Giving records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete other information at any time.

We use reasonable safeguards, including secure (HTTPS) connections and limited access to church records. No website or online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information online. Children's ministry registrations should be completed by a parent or guardian.

If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can, at any time:

• Unsubscribe from our emails using the link at the bottom of any message

• Ask what information we hold about you

• Ask us to correct or delete your information

• Opt out of personalized ads as described under Cookies, analytics and advertising
